As you can see by my name I love stuffed animals. This boy that I really like hates stuff animals. And on top of the popular crowd is hurting my feelings about it. I am in 8th grade now and I thought I would be over this phase, but I am not! My sister lost interest in stuffed animals since 1st grade. I can't help but comparing myself to the lovely and beautiful Ali Smith. She has flawless skin, the most silkiest hair and she has great friends. I usually spend my Friday nights sitting in my bed watching Netflix with a carton of ice cream, while she is out having fun with her friends How do I make new friends, but keeping same interests that I like? (As you can see I really need advice) (long paragraph) (ELA teacher where you at!).

Stuffed I really feel you, but I need you to know that friends don't have to have the same interests as you, you just have to be with someone you like being around. ANd have one or two good friends is better than having six acquaintances. Try starting with people who don't make fun of you for your stuffed animals. Or try making friends who have similar interests as you even if it isn't stuffed animals. and Enjoy liking your stuffed animals, its what you like, kids made fun of me all the time for liking what they called cartoonish games but having just those few friends who are with can make you feel so much better. So don't worry about your likes just find a couple of friends, who don't care that you like stuffed animals and will accept you for you.

I really like Star Wars but everybody makes fun of me. How do I get people to stop?
Dear Princess Leia,
I think that you should tell the people that are making fun of you that they should watch the Star Wars movie. I think this because maybe after they do that, they will have an interest in Star Wars. Sometimes after someone bullies you about what you have interest in, they will watch or see what it is that you like and they will end up loving it! Good luck Princess Leia. In my opinion Star Wars Rocks!

Dear Amy,
My life is falling apart!! Ever since my best friend moved in 4th grade and my other friend stopped talking to me, I haven't been able to make any new friends since elementary school. I am not the best in the world at making them. Help me please, I'm lonely!! :(
-Magical Unicorn
Dear Magical Unicorn,
You have nothing to fret about! Here’s what I think: first, you have to find the courage to walk up to someone you know is a nice person and start talking to her/him. It’s really not that hard! Next, you have to see if you have anything in common. For example, you can ask her/him, “Do you like _______,” depending on your interests. Most often, asking a question as simple as that can cause the conversation to go really well and carry itself away! If they say “no” to your question, that’s okay; differences keep a relationship interesting! Don’t get worried! You know the scientific statement, “Opposites attract!” Just ask them another question and see how it goes. However, keep in mind that some like to keep to themselves. If you see that the person feels uncomfortable, just say, “See you later,” and walk away. There’s a whole school of people for you to make friends with! If everything seems to be going well and you’ve hung out with your new acquaintance for some time, then it’s time for the final step: evaluation. Decide if you (and I mean, YOU. That is, Y-O-U, YOU.) believe this person can be trusted. Consider these questions:
If you said “yes” to any of these questions, then that means maybe you should try to change whatever is happening or see if you and him/her are really friends.
Now, this is VERY IMPORTANT: one part of a friendship is making sure that you have a good friend; the other part is making sure that you’re a good friend. To be sure that you’re a trustworthy person, ask the questions above of yourself. Do you make fun of people? Do you know that it hurts people’s feelings, yet do it anyway? Do you ever bail on your friends? Do you spread rumors about other people? If you said “yes” to any of these questions, then maybe that’s why you lost your friend. If you work on these problem areas, then you’ll be sure to have better luck at making friends in the future!
I hope this helps,
Amy

Dear Amy,
I get teased sometimes because I like playing video games. I want the teasing to stop, but I don't want to stop gaming. Yes, I've tried ignoring the teasing. Please Help!
P.S. also, I need a loan of about, maybe $500 for a Xbox one 1 TB bundle with the Halo master chief collection.
Just Kidding.
-Gamer Girl
Dear Gamer Girl,
I also play video games and I know what you mean. Try to show the people teasing you what’s so cool about video games. Tell them why you are so interested in them. Say video games require skill and strategy. YOU have skill and strategy. Maybe even get them interested in video games. Video games is who you are. Enjoy them and show them who’s boss! Oh and by the way, would YOU be willing to get a couple of Playstation 4 CD’s for me? Thanks!

Dear Amy, I’m confused about boys. I really like this boy, how to get him to like me?
Dear Sunset Sea,
I will tell you straight, there really is no right answer to this question. My advice is to not flaunt off in front of him, definitely not. Really, don’t, you will probably look like a crazed chicken. Just be yourself and be open with people especially him. Try talking to him, like in the movie Mean Girls, where the girl was gradually talking the guy, but be less awkward. I wish it was October 3rd, (sighs). So I mean there is really nothing else you can do. You can’t force someone to like you. If you just be yourself you can get anyone to like you. I hope this advice helps you!
